A simple soul trying to follow the will of God through the teachings of the Catholic Church and praying for those God sends on the journey of life one day at a time. Called to be a companion a long the way of the Cross to pray and bring hope. God has blessed me through this journey as a lay Carmelite, also through the cross of secondary infertility, chronic illness and serving each beautiful soul the Good Shepherd sends to this ministry. As I continue to seek our Lord's holy will I find joy and healing through serving HIM and seeking HIM. Not all of us led to this site are called to adopt, some of us are struggling with other issues concerning life and fertility, and are in need of many prayers and support. We are here for you and want you to know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers each day. Even though we may not know your name, the Lord does, and you are being remembered in a special way as we place all of you in the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus at each and every Mass. Please let us know if you are in need of any prayers hannahs.tears@gmail.com , all will be taken to prayer in confidence before Our Lord in the Most Blessed Sacrament of the Altar.

Mercy Sunday

Do we Trust God in every way? It is hard to trust in everyway all of the time, we are always fighting those temptations. My mother used to say, “Perfect Love Casts Out all FEAR”. If we have a Holy Trust in Our Lord is that not the same as Perfect Love?

May we all find peace on this sacred day of Our Lord’s Divine Mercy who from His side shed blood and water upon us all.

I greet you, Ever-blessed Virgin, Mother of God, Throne of Grace, miracle of Almighty Power! I greet you, Sanctuary of the Most Holy Trinity and Queen of the Universe, Mother of Mercy and refuge of sinners!Most loving Mother, attracted by your beauty and sweetness, and by your tender compassion, I confidently turn to you, miserable as I am, and beg of you to obtain for me from your dear Son the favor I request in this novena: (mention your request). Obtain for me also, Queen of heaven, the most lively contrition for my many sins and the grace to imitate closely those virtues which you practiced so faithfully, especially humility, purity and obedience. Above all, I beg you to be my Mother and Protectress, to receive me into the number of your devoted children, and to guide me from your high throne of glory. Do not reject my petitions, Mother of Mercy! Have pity on me, and do not abandon me during life or at the moment of my death. Amen.

Adopting Special Needs Children

We wanted to share this note that Barbara sent for those interested in adopting a child with special needs. As a friend told me on Easter Sunday, which was yesterday, “we need them more than they need us”. There is something about the smile these children have, their souls are full of so much love! We pray that this information will be a blessing to all those who are seeking such a gift.

The Prayer of Abandonment for Adoptive Parents
Father, we abandon ourselves into your hands, to send a child … or not … as you see fit. You by whom the Word was made flesh, send us a miracle, if this is what you desire. Or lead us to her/him, if that be your will. We do not ask for guarantees; no parent can. Only light enough for the very next step. We do not ask for a perfect child, nor can we promise to be perfect parents. Whatever you choose for us, whatever you desire we abandon ourselves to your perfect will. We are ready to offer our daily “yes,”until that perfect will be revealed in us. And until, at last perfected, we bear witness to the work of redemption you began in Eden. We love you, Lord, and offer ourselves to you, wholly and without reservation. We surrender ourselves, moment by moment, knowing that this is only the first small step of a lifetime of surrender, so that we may be made more perfect in love. That we might imitate, on earth as in heaven, the redemptive love the adoptive love the selfless lovewith which you first loved us.
