I am always excited to learn about Marian apparitions. To me, they are proof that our Queen of Heaven exists and that she really does care for us. For the Doubting Thomas in me (and in many), it really does help to make my faith a more concrete and solid one. Mary often uses these appearances to comfort, but also to give warnings and to encourage repentance.

The first Marian apparition I want to cover is also one of the most recent. Although it has bishop approval, it is not yet Vatican approved.

San Nicolás is located in the Buenos Aires province of Argentina. The apparitions began in the 80s and are still continuing today, numbering thousands of separate apparitions. It is unusual to approve apparitions where the visionary is still alive, but in this case, they decided to go ahead; giving Jesus and Mary an unprecedented channel to all…

Mother Teresa’s Beautiful Prayer of Total Surrender: “You are Free Then

Jesus said, ‘I have chosen you. I have called yo by name.’ Everyday you have to say, ‘Yes.’ Total surrender. To be where He wants you to be. If He puts you in the street, if you everything is taken from you and suddenly you find yourself in the street, to accept to be in the street at that moment. Not for you to put yourself in the street. But to accept to be there. This is quite different. To accept if God wants you to be in a palace, alright, to accept to be in the palace, as long as you are not choosing to be in the palace. This is the difference in total surrender.

To accept whatever He gives. And to give whatever it takes, with a big smile. This is the surrender to God. To accept to be cut to pieces and yet every piece to belong only tho Him. This is the surrender. To accept all the people that come, the work that you happen to do. Today maybe you have a good meal and tomorrow maybe you have nothing. There is no water in the pump. Alright, to accept. And to give whatever it takes. It takes your good name, it take your health, it takes… Yes, That is the Surrender. You are free then.

First Wednesday in Honor of Saint Joseph

“Our Lord would have us to understand that as He was subject to St. Joseph on earth—for St. Joseph, bearing the title of father and being His guardian, could command Him—so now in Heaven Our Lord grants all his petitions.”

St. Teresa of Avila

Prayers to Saint Joseph

‘Memorare to St. Joseph’

Remember, O most chaste spouse of the Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who implored your help and sought your intercession were left unassisted. Full of confidence in your power I fly unto you and beg your protection. Despise not O Guardian of the Redeemer my humble supplication, but in your bounty, hear and answer me.

Amen

‘Act of Consecration to St. Joseph’

O dearest St. Joseph, I consecrate myself to your honor and give myself to you, that you may always be my father, my protector and my guide in the way of salvation. Obtain for me a greater purity of heart and fervent love of the interior life. After your example may I do all my actions for the greater glory of God, in union with the Divine Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary. O Blessed St. Joseph, pray for me, that I may share in the peace and joy of your holy death.

Amen
