A simple soul trying to follow the will of God through the teachings of the Catholic Church and praying for those God sends on the journey of life one day at a time. Called to be a companion a long the way of the Cross to pray and bring hope. God has blessed me through this journey as a lay Carmelite, also through the cross of secondary infertility, chronic illness and serving each beautiful soul the Good Shepherd sends to this ministry. As I continue to seek our Lord's holy will I find joy and healing through serving HIM and seeking HIM. I don’t consider myself anything more than God’s little donkey…. I found this song a perfect reflection of my own journey and remembering that God uses our pain and suffering in this life to bring something more rich in favor than we can imagine.

Hoping that this ministry reaches out to those in need, and may it become everyone’s Ministry.

ACT OF CONSECRATION TO THE HOLY FAMILY

(To be recited by Catholic families who consecrate themselves to the Holy Family)

O Jesus, our most loving Redeemer, who having come to enlighten the world with Thy teaching and example, didst will to pass the greater part of Thy life in humility and subjection to Mary and Joseph in the poor home of Nazareth, thus sanctifying the Family that was to be an example for all Christian families, graciously receive our family as it dedicates and consecrates itself to Thee this day. Do Thou protect us, guard us and establish amongst us Thy holy fear, true peace and concord in Christian love: in order that by living according to the divine pattern of Thy family we may be able, all of us without exception, to attain to eternal happiness.

Mary, dear Mother of Jesus and Mother of us, by the kindly intercession make this our humble offering acceptable in the sight of Jesus, and obtain for us His graces and blessings.

O Saint Joseph, most holy Guardian of Jesus and Mary, help us by thy prayers in all our spiritual and temporal needs; that so we may be enabled to praise our divine Savior Jesus, together with Mary and thee, for all eternity. Amen.

Do You Believe in the Impossible?

My meditation today brings forth the quote “God is the God of the impossible”. This is probably something that rings in my soul since Sunday’s homily, as Father mentioned our faith within the Church is for us to expect the impossible and to have this kind of FAITH.  What more can we ever ask for if God the Father is always taking care of our needs?  My question that seems to shout out today is “Do YOU believe that He can change the things that are not to what can be?”  St. Rita would find that God would show her His glory through the many challenges she would face.  Do we love God enough to meet these challenges that He is asking of us for the sanctification of our very souls?  Prayer is the answer, taking time to be with Jesus as Saint Rita learned to do in her…
