A simple soul trying to follow the will of God through the teachings of the Catholic Church and praying for those God sends on the journey of life one day at a time. Called to be a companion a long the way of the Cross to pray and bring hope. God has blessed me through this journey as a lay Carmelite, also through the cross of secondary infertility, chronic illness and serving each beautiful soul the Good Shepherd sends to this ministry. So great was St. John Vianney’s insight into people’s problems that by 1855 the number of his visitors was said to be 20,000 annually, and a special railroad booking office had to be opened in Lyons… you want a miracle?, go to Philomena , he used to say, I don’t do miracles.

The Holy Father’s Prayer Intentions for AUGUST 2008

I worship thee, great Queen, and give thee thanks for the many favors thou hast bestowed on my in the past; most of all do I thank thee for having saved me from hell, which I had so often deserved. As we pray and continue to hope for children, could I please ask you to pray for those that are considering abortion? I just received an email requesting prayer for a lady named Maria who is contemplating abortion.
For those of us that hope for life and those of us whom have lost our little ones we beg you oh Dear Lord to take those in your hands that are considering abortion and we ask you to fill them with peace and hope. Knowing that You Lord will take care of their needs. Amen.

Prayers Needed

Dear Prayer Warriors,

I don’t usually ask the readers for help, but in your charity could you please pray for a friends nephew and some others that were in an accident. Please find below the email received.

Dear Friends,
I would like to update you all and continue to ask for prayers for my nephew Andrew, the former marine who was in a motorcycle accident Sunday in California. He is in very critical condition with numerous broken bones and lung damage. Several vertebrae were fractured and it is too early to know if there is permanent spinal cord injury. He underwent an 8 hr plus surgery yesterday to fix the vertebrae and he will have to go back for several surgeries this week to fix both broken legs (multiple breaks in each leg) and a severely broken/shattered wrist. We are praying that his body will be able to survive all this trauma. He is not the only person injured in this accident and I would like to ask for prayers for the others as well. A father that was riding in the group had his leg severed in the accident and lost his son in the accident as well. The motorcycle riders were struck by a vehicle that crossed the center line.

Also, I am taking up a spiritual bouquet for Andrew as it will boost his moral when he comes out of his surgeries this week as well as support his parents and siblings to see the body of Christ praying for one another even when we do not personally know each other.
