Today is actually in memory of Elisabeth as she is not yet a recognized saint. So, we must promote her cause daily with our prayers and devotions. Thank you for doing all that you can in honor of this holy woman!
Elisabeth suffered many pains, one of them being infertility and a childless home. Her other great sufferings were her husband’s unbelief in God. She by her great love for God and the Church offered her physical, emotional and spiritual sufferings to Christ Jesus Crucified to win back her husbands soul from the great errors of atheism she united her heart to our Trinitarian God. She never once questioned the unique call that she was given by Our Lord. She embraced her cross with humility and love, just as Christ Jesus did for all of us.
The cause for the CANONIZATIONof Elizabeth Leseur is being handled in Rome by:

The contact information for the postulator’s office in Rome is no longer accurate. Brother Llewellyn Muscat, secretary to the Dominican Postulator, is now the primary contact person at the Vatican. For contact details, and an overview of the current status of the cause, I suggest the website
It is maintained by Elisabeth Leseur’s Circle of Friends, a new non-profit group based in the United States who are trying to energize work to advance her cause.
Dear Don Francisco,
No, Elisabeth is not a “Blessed” yet, she is still just a “Servant of God”. It is very important that we promote her cause as she has much to teach the faithful in this day of great suffering throughout the world.
My friend Mary Kaufmann from the Incarnate Institute may be able to help you. Please refer to this information, also you may purchase a beautiful book about Elisabeth Leseur at Amazon.com “Elisabeth Leseur: Selected Writings (Classics of Western Spirituality)” Janet K. Ruffing
Don Francisco, I will be praying that you find what you need especially good translations.
Mrs. Therese Garcia, OCDS
Qual foi o mês e o ano que Elisabeth Leseur recebeu o título de serva de Deus? Estou rezando por sua beatificão e canonização.
Mais uma vez obrigado!
Em Cristo Dom Gilvan,OSB
We are all considered servants of God before beatification her process of canonization started by her husband Fr. Felix Leseur in 1934 and remains in a very slow process. Here is a link to possibly clarify the process: http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/02364b.htm
We will continue to pray and support her works!
Blessings in Christ,
I have been looking towards Elisabeth Leseur for years and asking for her intercession. Her name simply written on a slip of paper has been taped to my computer for years. I am the wife of a physician who prayed for many years that my husband would fall and live deeply in love with Jesus. Two years ago, God brought Holy guidance into his life and 2on Pentecost Sunday, my husband had a miraculous conversion experience at Lourdes which dramatically effected his life. Since that day, he has attended mass daily, something he never did before. We now have a very Catholic private medical practice, located in Florida. We have a prayer chapel that is open to all, The staff prays and reads the mass readings together everyday. All the staff, including my husband frequently prays with patients. In addition, during office visits, he has gifted hundreds of patients with a green scapular. And there is so much more that I couldn’t possibly write it all down here. God so beautifully answered my prayers beyond anything I could have imagined!
We will be in Paris in the end of July, to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. I would like to visit Blessed Elisabeth Lesuer to thank her for her intercession. Is there someplace we can go and someone that I can contact in Paris, to help us honor the Blessed Elizabeth Leseur?
Rose, it is actually quite easy to visit Elisabeth’s Gravesite, and other places in and around Paris that are relevant to her life’s story. You can find them all at the link below, which is a page from a bigger website dedicated to promoting Elisabeth’s fame of sanctity and her cause for Canonization. https://elcause.org/places-of-pilgrimage/

Sad to say the picture in some comments section of the blog is not me but my friend Michael, who helped tremendously with the website…. God has a great sense of humor as I don’t have a beard.
God bless you
