What do you do if you’re Catholic couple faced with infertility?
Rather than resort to in-vitro fertilization, in which many embryos are created and destroyed, Donna and John Kurtz of Coatesville, Pa. began adopting.
They are now the parents of 21 children (17 adopted, four under their guardianship) from all over the world.
To feed, clothe and house them – and others who need help – they’ve started a non-profit organization called “Saint Joseph’s House.”

AMEN!!!!!!!!Thanks for reminding me about this program.We are also a Catholic couple who chose adoption. We didn’t even engage ourselves in any fertility treatments. We discerned what God wanted for our lives and we adopted a precious baby boy 2 1/2 years ago. We recently went into discernment again and we are working on the adoption of our second son.
